Additional Training Classes/Seminars
Montgomery Investigations’
Cal/OSHA 10-Hour
General Industry Safety Training Course
Here’s the last opportunity in 2022 to attend training and earn a Cal/OSHA 10-Hour Training Card and 10 contract hours of REHS continuing education, without having to travel or take time off from work.
This virtual instructor led training course has been approved by the OSHA Directorate of Training and Education and features live instruction and the opportunity for course participants to interact with the instructor and each other. The course is intended to provide REHSs with information about their rights, employer responsibilities and how to file a complaint, as well as how to identify, abate, avoid and prevent job related hazards. The training covers a variety of general industry safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter and emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention (not Cal/OSHA Title 8 standards).
The following topics are tentatively scheduled to be covered during this course:
· Introduction to OSHA & Cal/OSHA
· Injury and Illness Prevention
· Heat Illness Prevention Program
· Electrical Safety
· Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention & Fire Protection Plans
· Walking/Working Surfaces
· Fall Protection
· Hazard Communication
· Hazardous Material
· Health & Safety Programs
· Personal Protective Equipment
Participants will receive student handout material and, upon successful completion of the course, a Certificate of Completion (issued by Montgomery Investigations) and a Cal/OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Training Card (issued by the OSHA Training Institute Education Center).
This course qualifies for 10 contact hours of REHS continuing education.
